Medical and Nutrition campaign against the inhumane treatment of animals?

I'm researching on the inhumane treatment of animals and I would know if anyone knows where I could find points of view and so medical nutrition, such as articles with quotes from those who have RDS and PhD, etc. Hopefully, along the lines of say, going vegetarian will save this amount and if the animal lives each year … etc. If Please help!

Against Animal Testing "From the perspective of a physician involved in clinical practice, education and research I came to the conclusion that the killing and dissecting animals is not only unnecessary but also cons-productive in the training of doctors and scientists. They failed, largely because they behave differently in people than they were animals or tests laboratory. "- Andrew C. von Eschenbach, MD Commissioner of Food and Medicine, U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Vegetarianism is beneficial for Dr. YOUR HEALTH T. Colin Campbell, nutritional researcher at Cornell University and director of the largest epidemiological study in history, "The great majority of all cancers, cardiovascular disease and other degenerative diseases can be prevented simply by adopting a diet herbal. "The American Heart Association reports that vegetarians" have a lower risk of obesity, coronary heart disease (which causes heart attack), hypertension, diabetes and some forms of cancer. "Scientists have found that vegetarians have a stronger immune system than do meat eaters. The science shows that vegetarians are perhaps the most effective way to fight global warming. In a revolutionary 2006 report, the United Nations (UN) said that raising animals for food generates more greenhouse gas emissions than all cars and trucks in the world combined. Senior UN Food and Agriculture Organization official Henning Steinfeld reported that the meat industry is "one of the most significant contributors to today's most serious environmental problems." carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide together cause the vast majority of global warming. Raising animals for food is one of the largest sources of carbon dioxide and the largest source of both methane and nitrous oxide. Jump to PETA.org for some information.
