Food Blood Type: Myth or Reality …?

According to the author of the book "Eat Right for Your Type" DÁdamo Dr. Peter, there is a relationship between the blood and the foods we eat. According to him, he produced a chemical reaction between food and blood which is caused by a factor called lectins. These lectins are a class of plant glycoproteins that act like specific antibodies but not antibodies in that they are not evoked by an antigenic stimulus. They are abundant and diverse proteins found in foods, and have agglutinating properties that can cause various molecules and cells to stay together.

The idea behind this theory is that the Blood O 's type are the dominant type hunter-caveman who require meat in the diet, type A are docile vegetarians, while type B are omnivores eat dairy products. This idea became a manifesto for many people, including streamlining the portions of meat and other animal products in their diet. Fortunately, most lectins in the diet are not as life threatening. Eighty-five percent of a lectin absorbs typical diets are sloughed off by the body, but at least five percent of the lectins we eat are filtered into the blood and reacts differently different organs, D'Adamos believes.What made the " blood type "theory somewhat less convincing D'Adamo is postulation that the lectin proteins on some foods causing blood agglutination in persons of blood groups of some who are "not evolutionary adapted" to eat these foods.

However, agglutination phenomenon is a very serious and potentially deadly by which red blood cells sticking together and forming clumps irreversible. As we all know, the red blood cells deliver oxygen to cells of vital tissues like the brain, heart and kidneys. To accomplish this delivery, red blood cells must pass through capillaries so narrow that they be aligned in a single file. If red cells are agglutinated by lectins or anything else, clumps of red blood cells clog the capillaries and block circulation. So the blood will be prevented from delivering its cargo of oxygen to the survival of tissues served by those capillaries.

Like most people are not even aware of their blood types, let alone what foods are "evolutionary inappropriate" for them to eat, we can assume that most days most people are eating wrong "for their blood. Moreover there are many easy ways to learn your blood. Thus, according to D'Adamo theory, many people experience repeated showers of agglutinated red blood cells throughout their bloodstream after almost every meal – day after day! If this is true, then guys like me who do not even know their blood type, living a medical miracle everyday, because if the capillary bed in our bodies are subjected to barrage after barrage of agglutinated red blood cells, they would have ended now blocked, causing damage severe tissue damage irreparable lethal but Thank goodness, we're perfectly!

Nevertheless, we all have different nutritional needs, and different people are suited to different types and quantities of food. However, these differences are not significantly determined by the type of blood, contrary to what the theory of blood Type Diet says. There has been no research or scientific proof "Eat adapted your type "that proves the contrary. The only suggestion for optimal Nutrition is to pay attention to what your body tells you, and focus on your diet fresh food, whole foods – grown as organically as possible.
